growth in terms of demand for youth sports. Involvement in youth sports has been proven to lead to success in other
areas of life, and having the appropriate facilities would enhance the quality of life for the entire area. Such a facility provides
social and economic benefits. We strongly feel that building such a facility is an investment in our youth and the entire community.

Goals:
CYBA and RSSA would like to build a multi-use recreation facility for
the City of Columbia that would be City owned and operated. The
facility would play host to basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball,
dodgeball, martial arts and more for both
youth and adults. It could
also accomodate meetings and conferences for large groups. This would
involve a capital
campaign effort which would take one to two years at
which time the proceeds would be given to the City to begin
construction. There would be no increase in taxes. Columbia Parks and
Recreation projects the facility would create
revenue to cover 98% of
expenses generated.
Mission Statement:
CYBA and RSSA strive to provide a resource for Columbia and Boone
County children to play basketball regardless of
financial means in an
environment focused on the development of fundamental skills and
sportsmanship.
CYBA and RSSA are non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations whose focus is to provide an outlet for youth sports and covering expenses to do so. Any profits would be invested back into the facility or other endeavors that benefit youth sports.
